✓ A completely new, nationwide, high-performance, and homogeneous fiber-optic backbone network of approximately 33,000 km is being built along Germany’s railway routes.
✓ More than 10,000 potential access points will be created, including at train stations and stops.
✓ The highly meshed network topology with over 300 ring structures ensures sufficient alternative routes in the event of outages, disruptions, or targeted sabotage. It also enables optimized site networking with multiple redundancies.

In parallel, the regional network is incorporated into the overall rollout schedule to ensure nationwide coverage and to connect additional strategic customers in rural areas.
